OUR TROOP

​Who We Are

Troop 180 is an active Boy Scout troop based in Carmel, IN.

We are part of the Del-Mi District in the Crossroads of America Council.

Our Troop is of medium size, consisting of approximately 14 scouts. We also have an active base of adult leaders/volunteers dedicated to helping scouts along their journey.

Membership

We would like to welcome additional Scouts into our troop.

Prospective Scouts and their parents in the Carmel area are encouraged to visit our troop during any of our regular Tuesday meeting

Meeting Time and Place:

During a typical month, regular Troop meetings are held on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Tuesday of the month. The 4th Tuesday of the month is reserved for a PLC (Patrol Leader Council) meeting, which is a meeting for the youth leaders of the Troop. If there is a 5th Tuesday, it is treated as a regular meeting date. Each of these meetings starts at 7:00 PM. 

 

Troop 180 meets at the King of Glory Lutheran Church. The church is located at 2201 E. 106th Street, Carmel, IN.

Troop History:

Our current Scoutmaster is Mr. Eric Sampson, who has served in this capacity since February 2014. Since Troop 180 was formed in 1992, the troop has had 5 Scoutmasters. Here is the list of the Troop 180 Scoutmasters:

Troop History:

Boy Scout Troop 180 is based in Carmel, Indiana. We are part of the Del-Mi District in the Crossroads of America Council. Our charter organization is the Carmel Golden K Kiwanis.

​

Our Troop is of medium size, currently consisting of approximately 30 scouts. We also have an active base of adult leaders/volunteers dedicated to helping scouts along their journey.

​

Our troop originally formed on March 1, 1992. We are proud to report that in the time since the troop formed through March 16, 2023, a total of 94 Scouts from our Troop have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. A list of the Troop 180 Eagle Scouts can be found on the troop Eagle Scout Honor Roll.
