ABOUT TROOP 180

Boy Scout Troop 180 is located in Carmel, Indiana, which is just north of Indianapolis.  We are part of the Del-Mi District of the Crossroads of America Council.  Our troop is sponsored by the Golden "K" Kiwanis.  In return for sponsorship, each Scout assists throughout the year in service projects that benefit our community as a whole and our sponsor in particular.  Troop 180 is open to all eligible boys regardless of race, religion, national origin, or where they attend school.

Regular troop meetings are held on the first, second, and third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM.  The patrol leaders council (PLC) is held the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM.  Meeting space is generously provided to us by King of Glory Lutheran Church  2201 E. 106th Street  (map)

Troop 180 schedules 9 to 11 outings per year including a high adventure trip, totaling over 25 days of camping annually. We believe camping and outings are an important part of Scouting.  As part of our annual schedule of activities, the troop usually attends the Del-Mi District Camporees (winter, spring, and fall), Ransburg Summer camp, and various District, Council, and National camps.
